The Weave is a family run business established in 2003 - jointly run and managed by husband and wife team and joint proprietors, Tim & Lucy.
Since 2003 we have strived to earn your business by offering only the best products, the lowest prices, impeccable quality, and unsurpassed customer service.
The Weave is now widely acknowledged to be one of the UK’s leading retailers in quality handmade carpets. We specialize in only hand-knotted carpets and rugs from the traditional weaving groups of the world, all of which are carefully selected for quality and individual artistic merit by Tim and Lucy.
Absolutely none of the goods that we sell are fakes, machine made copies or otherwise second rate rugs produced under forced labour situations. To this end we can confirm that unannounced biannual visits are undertaken to all of our major suppliers or manufacturing sites and villages. All of whom fully recognize and follow our high standards with this complexed and much debated issue. For further assurance with this matter both Tim and Lucy have the experience and expertise in this field to readily identify carpets which have been produced in adverse conditions and consequently we always steer well away from these types of goods. Please feel free to contact us directly about this issue if you require further information or simply wish to discuss the subject further.
Our 14’000 square foot canal-side showroom houses thousands of high quality and interesting carpets of all sizes from small tribal carpets measuring 30 x 20cm and costing from about £25 to oversize and very high quality Persian and Afghan Carpets which can measure 10 x 8 meters and above.
Our lovely showroom is situated on the ground floor of the Grade II listed Adelphi Mill, a former silk and cotton Mill with direct towpath access to what is often described as one the prettiest parts of the Cheshire ring canal route.
We welcome all visitors to the showroom including browsers, walkers (with or without dogs), school parties and all other interested groups..
In our showroom you will also find an interesting and rare collection of traditional Afghan, Punjabi and Hindu Kush carved furniture and architectural items, all of individual artistic interest and all totally original.
